Servings: 6
  • Puff Pastry Sheet, 1 sheet (defrosted at room temperature for 40 minutes)
  • Apples, 2 medium (any kind you like)
  • Sugar, 2 tbsp
  • Ground cinnamon, 1 tbsp
  • Dried cranberries, 1/4 cup
  • All-purpose flour, 1 tbsp
  • One egg
  • Water, 1 tbsp


Step 1: Make an egg wash, by beating together the egg and water with a fork. Set aside for later.

Step 2: Peel, core, and slice the apples.

Step 3: Combine the apples, sugar, cinnamon, flour, and cranberries in medium bowl.

Step 4: Unfold the defrosted pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.

Step 5: Roll the pastry sheet out to 16 x 12 inch dimensions.

Step 6: Spoon the apple mixture onto the bottom portion of the sheet, within 4 inches of the edge.

Step 7: Fold in the sides and roll up, like a burrito.

Step 8: Place the pastry onto a baking sheet, seam-side facing down.

Step 9: Brush the pastry with the egg wash.

Step 10: Cut slits along the top of the pastry.

Step 11: Bake in a 375 degree oven for 35 minutes.

Step 12: Let cool for 15 minutes, before serving.

Optional: Sprinkle on powdered sugar, using a strainer.
